This thing looks great and it does NOT have a Small Block Chevy. They stuck to it's roots and used a small block Plymouth motor, a 340 in fact. They also added dual quads to it so I'm sure it's running fast as hell.
I'd say for $13,500 it's a full on NP!

Joke the last couple of days is that a certain *somebody* is upset about all the small block chevy's in hot rods.
It is one hell of a cool little rod tho.

Clean, neat theme, atypical make, well-chosen engine with good build, good choice of wheels and whitewalls, wood-decked bed, tidy chop.
A++, would drool at again.

That somebody being me. I may have few points of snobbery, but "slap a 350 in it, hurr" is definitely one of them.
It's important to have things to go into rants for no reason about.

Seriously you don't know how hard it was to find a really nicely done hot rod or rat rod that wasn't chevy small block. I saw 350s and 383s all over.
This is actually a wonderful car/truck/thing lol (I hate calling them trucks with how tiny they are, but yes it's technically a truck because mini-bed) and if I had 13k laying around I'd be purchasing this.

I think a mid-'30s - 40's Pontiac would make for a good themed hot rod, myself. Take advantage of the chrome hood-strip motif and maybe style it into a gun barrel shape on the grill with a "sight" hood ornament.
